The Tohopekaliga Water Authority (Toho) invites interested engineering consulting firms with experience in advanced wastewater treatment facility process evaluation, design, and process training to submit Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for process evaluation, preliminary design, final design, permitting, bidding assistance, construction administration, and other miscellaneous related services for an advanced secondary treatment project or an advanced wastewater treatment (AWT) project at Tohos Lake Marion Water Reclamation Facility (LMWRF). Lake Marion Water Reclamation Facility, located in Poinciana, Polk County, has a permitted capacity of 3 MGD. The facility has onsite rapid filtration basins for wet weather storage and reject disposal. The objective of the project is to meet upcoming Lake Okeechobee Basin Management Action Plan (BMAP) nutrient effluent limits of 6 mg/L total nitrogen and 3 mg/L total phosphorous for an advanced secondary treatment project, or 3 mg/L total nitrogen and 1 mg/L total phosphorous for the AWT project. The determination of whether the project will be an advanced secondary treatment project or an AWT project will be made prior to the initiation of the design. Hardcopies will not be accepted.
