Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Working plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The City of Pleasant Hill, Missouri is inviting bids from qualified vendors for the following project: Curb Replacement The City of Pleasant Hill is seeking bids for the replacement of existing curbing and the installation of new curbing within the City limits of Pleasant Hill. The work will be bid at a per linear foot price for the installation of new curbing installed and a separate per linear foot cost for the demolition, removal and replacement of existing curbing. Curbing specifications are included below. Locations will be marked out with white paint and flags on the curb along the streets by the Public Works department along with a list/maps of the streets that will have improvements done before work is to begin. Bid to include all materials, labor and equipment to install new APWA type CG-1 or G-2 curb at various locations within the City limits of Pleasant Hill, Bid is also to include saw cutting and seal/curing of concrete. Contractor will provide all demolition, haul off, cuts/fills for the installation of the new curb. Contractor will provide all Type-5 gravel subgrade at a minimum of 6" (placed and compacted) under the curb. Contractor will provide all backfill and asphalt patching necessary along the new/replaced curb. Contractor will provide all final grade and seeding of disturbed soil during the construction of new/replaced curbing. Products and prices included in the bid may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the date of bid opening without the express written consent of the City. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities in the bid process, to award any bid or portion of a bid which is deemed to be the most advantageous to the City of Pleasant Hill, and to make any investigations as are deemed necessary to determine the ability of a bidder to perform the Work. Questions: Any questions regarding the technical specifications shall be directed to Tony Bakken at (816) 540-9130. Any material changes to the bid specifications arising as a result of such questions shall be approved by the City in writing and placed on the website not less than 6 days prior to bid opening. If any person contemplating submission of a bid for items contained in this Invitation for Bids is in doubt regarding the true meaning of any part of this Invitation for Bids documents, he or she may submit to Stephanie Ray, an e-mail at stephr@pleasanthill.com, requesting an interpretation or correction of the Invitation for Bids documents not later than 7 days prior to the opening of bids. Any interpretation or correction to the Invitation for Bids documents will be made by the City by addendum and will be posted on the City's website as an addendum, not less than 6 days prior days prior to bid opening. The Work shall be commenced not later than30 days and shall be completed no later than 60 days, subject to Excusable Delays. Bidders shall consider the City's requirements for payment and performance bonds when pricing the Work for purposes of bid submittal. The anticipated cost of the materials, labor, and associated costs of the Work is estimated to exceed $50,000. Consequently, the successful bidder shall furnish to the City a payment bond with good and sufficient sureties to cover the cost for payment of the following: Any and all materials incorporated, consumed, or used in connection with the construction of the Work; and All insurance premiums, both for compensation, and for all other kinds of insurance, for the Work; and For all labor performed in the Work, whether by subcontractors or otherwise. Additionally, the successful bidder shall provide the City a performance bond (guaranteeing that the contract for the Work will be completed according to its terms, including price and time) with good and sufficient sureties to cover the 100% of the cost of the entire construction contract, including, if authorized increases to cover change orders to such contract.
