Question Deadline 09/27/2023 at 2:00 PM ET Any questions must be received by the Owner through e-mail CIPP lining of approximately 12,599 linear feet of 8" through 18" sanitary sewer, and CIPP lining of approximately 198 linear feet of 12", 305 linear feet of 36", and 205 linear feet of 48" storm sewer. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the lowest and best responsible bidder(s). These specifications are intended to describe the scope of materials, labor, tools, equipment and expendable materials to be supplied by the contractor to install water or gas mains and sanitary sewer for projects funded by the City of Hamilton and also funded by others. The work to be performed under this contract shall be coordinated with the work of the appropriate utility division of the City of Hamilton, Ohio. All work described in the following paragraphs and shown on the drawings is included in the work to be done by the Contractor, unless specifically noted to the contrary in the specifications or on the drawings. For new subdivisions, no trenching or laying of pipe or fittings shall be done until the curb and gutter on at least one side of the street has been installed or until curb grade stakes have been set. Trench cut stakes may, in certain installations, be substituted for curb grade stakes, but only when approved by the Department of Engineering. The Contractor shall use digging equipment that produces even bedding and foundation on which the pipe and/or fittings shall be installed. The bottom of the trench shall be level and free from humps or voids, excessive loose dirt and large stones. See trench restoration detail for pipe bedding requirements. All work during its progress and at its completion shall conform to the lines and grades given by the Department of Engineering Representative and shall be done in accordance with the drawings and specifications subject to such modifications as the Department of Engineering Representative may determine to be necessary during the execution of the work.
