Reference Number 0000255959 Question Acceptance Deadline 2023/09/19 02:00:00 PM CDT This Request for Information is issued by the Government of Manitoba (Manitoba), as represented by the Minister of Consumer Protection and Government Services, for the purposes of gathering information about the marketplace in order to assist in the determination of future purchasing options or requirements. This Request for Information is not: (i) a bid solicitation or call for tender; (ii) a notice of intended procurement; or (iii) a notice of planned procurement. Vendors are asked to respond to Manitoba and provide the information requested below. Physical security describes security measures that are designed to deny unauthorized access to facilities, equipment, and resources and to protect personnel and property from damage or harm (such as espionage, theft, or terrorist attacks). Physical security involves the use of multiple layers of interdependent systems that can include CCTV surveillance, security guards, protective barriers, locks, access control, perimeter intrusion detection, deterrent systems, fire protection, and other systems designed to protect persons and property. This RFI is seeking information on prospective vendors who are capable of providing the following services within Manitoba. They include: 1. Physical security 2. Surveillance system 3. Services including design, installation, maintenance and repairs of security equipment. The services are required not only in the city of Winnipeg but also in remote and rural areas where Manitoba has acquired sites and properties. They are also needed in emergencies such as natural disasters, fire outbreaks and civil disorders to prevent unauthorized access to affected areas while maintaining law and order. Respondents are expected to indicate where they have offices within the geographical regions of Manitoba for prompt dispatch of security personnel when and where required.
