(“VIA”) is looking for a provider for a welding engineer to provide VIA with welding engineering support. The welding engineer is required to have a CWB certification in Division 2 in accordance with the CSA standard W47. The welding engineer shall have a minimum of five (5) years of welding related experience, of which at least three (3) years involves experience related to welding procedures and practices. In order to submit the proposal, the Bidder must be able to comply with the following mandatory criteria: 1) Official Languages The Bidder must be able to provide the services in both official languages of Canada (French & English). 2) Welding Engineering certificate CSA W47.1 The Bidder or its engineers are qualified with a valid CSA W47.1 welding engineering certificate. 3) Experience The Bidder must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of welding engineering services. 4) Travel The Bidder must be able to travel within Canada as specified by VIA.
