The Ohio State University intends to select a Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) to partner with the University and design team to provide abbreviated pre-construction / estimating / bidding services and construction services for the renovation of Campbell Hall, an academic building located at 1787 Neil Avenue on The Ohio State University Columbus Campus. The original three story, 95,941 SF building was constructed in 1916. A 19,427 SF addition included expansion of all three stories and creation of a basement level in 1993. Campbell currently contains a 200+ seat auditorium, classrooms, wet and dry teaching & research laboratories, computer labs, offices, lounges, student service & collaboration areas. Additionally, Campbell Hall houses the Faculty Innovation Center and the Historic Costume and Textile Collection. The project will address known deferred maintenance issues, including both the building enclosure (roof, windows, masonry) and interior environment to include building systems.
