THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE SYNOPSIZING AN UPCOMING COMPETITIVE SOLICITATION SATISFYING THE REQUIREMENTS OF FAR 5.201 AND 5.203 AN INVITATION FOR BIDS WILL BE POSTED ON OR ABOUT SEPTEMBER 29, 2023 UPGRADE ACCESS CONTROLS STATION WIDE, Canandaigua VA Medical Center: Procurement Number: 36C24223B0048; Project Number: 528A5-23-506 The Canandaigua VA Medical Center (VAMC) will be posting a solicitation to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform work under project number 528A5-23-506 titled Upgrade Access Controls Station Wide. The general scope of this project is to upgrade the access control system West Fire Security System for 7 buildings (4,5,6,7,8,36,37) and add building 10 and 118 to the access control system. The contractor must follow all the related VA design guides along with meeting all the national and the local codes including but not limited NFPA. The new work shall include but not limited to supplying and installing the new enclosures, new readers, new power supplies, installation, and configuration of new doors into the upgraded West Fire system, and new switches specified per specifications. The Contractor is responsible for completion of all paperwork to transfer registration of the old system to the new system and the removal and disposal of the old material, and any paperwork associated with the disposal of these material (the disposal records are required). All work will be accomplished on the Canandaigua VAMC campus as indicated in the specifications and drawings. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238210 with a small business size standard of $19M. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. A 20% bid bond will be required and must be submitted with the bid. This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
