Renovation of a residential development in Revere, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
A. The work of this Section consists of asphalt shingles where shown on the Drawings, as specified herein, and as required for a complete and proper installation. Work includes, but is not limited to the following scope. 1. At all Buildings included in the Siding Replacement scope of work: a. Remove and dispose of all existing asphalt shingles and cedar shingle roofing at entrance canopies only. b. Coordinate work with siding replacement scope. 2. At all Buildings included in the Roofing Replacement scope of work: a. Remove and dispose of all existing asphalt shingles and cedar shingle roofing in its entirety, including but not limited to underlayment, and accessories at all building roof areas. Remove and dispose of roofing at entrance canopies only at Buildings included in the Siding Replacement scope of work. b. Remove and dispose of existing soil stack and bathroom exhaust vent flashings. c. Detach existing siding at shed roofs to remove existing metal flashings and attach new metal flashings. d. Cut and remove existing roof sheathing continuously along ridge peak to allow installation of new ridge vent and to provide ventilation. e. Remove and dispose of existing gutters and accessories, leaving downspouts in place for reuse. f. Remove and dispose of existing fascia and rake trim boards and aluminum coil cladding. g. Carefully remove existing satellite dishes and retain on site. h. Upon completion of the selective demolition work, review all substrates to receive new materials for damage and deterioration. Notify the Architect in writing of any damaged or deteriorated substrates which require repair prior to installing new materials. i. Furnish and install pressure treated 2x framing to sister rafters at louver infill areas. j. Furnish and install CDX plywood sheathing at roof and wall infill areas as noted on the drawings. Envelope Upgrade of Roofs, Siding, Windows and Bulkheads Phase IV & V at State Aided Development: Gold Star Mothers 200-1 in Revere, Massachusetts All General Bidder questions must be received by 10/19/23 @ 10:00 A.M. in order to be answered by addendum.
