Renovation of an educational facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Base Bid: Indicated base bid work in Basement, and all work on 1st and 2nd floors. Leave existing risers, treads, and landings from basement to 2nd floor as-is and protect during construction. Alternate No.1: Provide cost to complete the basement and work on stairs as outlined in the drawings. Alternate: Work shown in basement alternate on the drawings and remove existing nosing"s, treads and existing tile from ST-A, ST-B (including landings) and both levels of Entry 100 and replace with LVT-1 and metal nosing"s on treads and landings of ST-A and ST-B, and both levels of Entry 100, as specified in section 096519 - Resilient Tile Flooring and prep and paint all risers as specified in section 099123 - Interior Painting and 090190.52 - Maintenance Repainting The time for Substantial Completion shall be one hundred eighty (180) consecutive calendar days, and Final Completion shall be fourteen (14) consecutive calendar days thereafter. Substantial Completion will include all site restoration completed, site clean-up and fully functional All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the base bid and any alternates. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in th Instruction to Bidders, General Conditions and Special Condition No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening o fbids. Clerical errors and omissions in the computation of the lump sum shall not be cause for withdrawal of the bid without forfeiture of bid bond. Bids may be withdrawn in person only, prior to theclosing date for receipt of bids.
