Renovation of a water / sewer project in Lexington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Consisting of the construction and/or furnishing of items as listed in the Bid Schedule beginning on page P-6, Part III, Form of Proposal, of this document, for the Dewatering Pump Station Improvements, Lexington-Fayette County, Kentucky .Consisting of the construction and/or furnishing of items as listed in the Bid Schedule beginning on page P-6, Part III, Form of Proposal, of this document, for the Dewatering Pump Station Improvements, Lexington-Fayette County, Kentucky. If this bid involves construction work for a project totalling $10 million or more, then the contractor further agrees that all laborers and mechanics, etc., employed in the construction of the public facility project assisted with funds provided under this Agreement, whether employed by contractor, or contractor's contractors, or subcontractors, shall be paid wages complying with the Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C. 3141-3144). Contractor agrees that all of contractor's contractors and subcontractors will pay laborers and mechanics the prevailing wage as determined by the Secretary of Labour and that said laborers and mechanics will be paid not less than once a week. If the bid is $50,000 or greater, bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government in an amount not less than Five Percent (5%) of the base bid. Bid bond shall be executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and countersigned by a licensed Kentucky Resident Agent, representing the Surety Company. Bid Bonds are not required for bids under $50,000. A cashier's check or irrevocable letter of credit is an acceptable form of bid security. The OWNER reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder that is deemed to be unbalanced or front loaded. In analyzing Bids, the OWNER may take into consideration alternate and unit prices, if requested by the Bid forms. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government may be served.
