Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Homestead, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a two-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; road / highway; and warehouse / distribution facility.

Construction consists of a new visitor center project at Everglades National Park in Florida. The project also includes: Sidewalks, plazas and gathering areas around the visitor center; A new entrance road; A remote concession and storage building near the park's canoe/kayak launch; Bringing site utilities up to code; Demolition of portions of the existing bulkhead; Construction of a new bulkhead at the park's marina and waterfront; Dredging in Chokoloskee Bay; Native landscape and rain gardens; Multiple shallow, dry retention ponds for drainage next to parking lots and driveways; A new gravel parking lot at for canoers/kayakers at an existing grassy overflow parking area; and Replacement of the existing floating dock system with a new system that has accessible ramps. The visitor center, main parking lot and surrounding areas will be raised between 2.3 feet and 5.4 feet to limit the impact of high tides, storms and seasonal flooding, the NPS said. As of October 23 2023, construction is underway. Substantial completion is scheduled for August 2025.
