The work consists of spring planting of approximately 280,000 seedlings on approximately 14 blocks over 200 hectares (majority straight plants) and another 12ha of rehabilitated roads and burn piles to be planted, within the Selkirk District. Locations will range from East and West Barnes, Burton, Whatshan and surrounding areas. The majority of the area is straight plants. The start of the season will be weather dependant but usually starts in mid April and ends June 21, 2024. If your bid deposit is in the form of cash, money order, certified cheque or bank draft, you will not be able to e-bid. See allowable submission delivery method(s) above. All contract related questions must be submitted in writing ONLY to the following email address: Forests.KootenayTimberSalesOffice@gov.bc.ca. Deadline for receiving questions is 12:00 pm on October 10, 2023. If questions are received, a Question & Answer document will be posted to BC Bid by October 11, 2023.
