As of November 21, 2024, per owner, an award has been made. The firm is currently in the process of investigating and evaluating the buildings. There is no construction involved. Lynchburg City Schools Professional Services for Building Envelope Evaluation and Design Lynchburg City Schools (LCS) is seeking proposals from highly experienced and professional architectural/engineering firms to perform services as delineated in the project scope. It is the intent of this Request for Proposal to select a proposer qualified to perform building envelope evaluations and associated design services for repair and replacement. LCS envisions the scope of work to be primarily inspection of the exterior building masonry walls, stone coping, caulking and window systems. Repairs will be done as needed to provide a watertight building at R S Payne Elementary School, Perrymont Elementary School, Dunbar Middle School and E C Glass High School initially with additional projects possible in the future. The storm piping system at E C Glass High School will also be evaluated for its condition and size. The successful firm shall secure and pay for all permits, governmental fees and licenses necessary for the proper execution and completion of the work which are legally required prior to and during the work. The City/LCS will not charge for any permits required by the City of Lynchburg. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities, and to reissue any request for proposals and to award contracts to multiple Offerors
