Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Columbus, Ohio. Working plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

This project will enhance an existing roadway cooridor by adding multimodal facilities to accommodate bicyclists and pedestrians. The project will providing connectivity to existing or proposed facilities along Georgesville Road, Wilson Road and make access to the Ohio-Erie Trail easier. The existing 35 mph roadway is a combination of curb and gutter and side ditches for storm water. The project area has existing sidewalks that run from Holly Hill Drive to Wilson Road on the north side. This project will provide options for better accessibility to these existing and proposed facilities as well as the 7 COTA bus stops located within this area. A 5' sidewalk is proposed on the south side and a 10' shared-use path is proposed on the north side of Sullivant Avenue. There is a possibility of replacing existing signals within the project limits as well as new ADA ramps and pedestrian crossings. Prospective design teams should anticipate that this project will receive federal funding.
