Project Threshold : Project is Less than $500,000.00 (Technically Qualification only) District : 07 Selection Method : Letter of Response and Interview Project Description : Modal Development (MD) Support - continuing Plain Language Description : This project will provide general support for the District 7 Modal Development Office's modal planning activities and services. These transportation modes include transit, railroads, freight, aviation, seaports, pipelines, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, as well as supporting facilities and services such as intermodal centers, park and ride lots, and commuter services such as carpool and vanpool. This project will also address plan and prepare for poten- tial improvements which may involve each of those modes, services and facilities. Assignments on this project may include providing assistance with in-house planning and small-scale studies, preliminary design of minor operational improvements, reviewing engineering plans to ensure that public transportation concerns are addressed, and providing technical and administrative assistance and guidance to public transportation agencies.
