Site work for a water / sewer project in Carrboro, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
BACKGROUND AND DESCRIPTION The Cobb Terrace Sewer Line is located between East Franklin St. and Martin Luther King Jr. in Chapel Hill, N.C. The scope of work includes approximately 350 linear feet of sewer line between manholes number 4890, 4858, 4808, 4779 and as shown in figure 1.1 Cobb Terrace Sewer Rehabilitation Location. The segment of pipeline in consideration is composed of two segments of HDPE pipe with a diameter of 8 and 10 inches. The Cobb Terrace Sewer Line is in a location prompted to experience high volumes of runoff and perennial stream flows. The sewer line runs next to a stream considered perennial by the Town of Chapel Hill within the Bolin watershed. The hydrologically and topographic conditions of the sewer line location have eroded the stream banks and exposed some sections of the pipe and some manholes. OWASA is in the process of obtaining all easements and construction access related to this project. At the time of the release of this RFQ, OWASA is still finalizing easement acquisition and construction access. The figure 1.1. Cobb Terrace Sewer Rehabilitation shows the approximate location and length of the pipeline included in the scope of work.
