Renovation of a transportation facility in North Bay, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
Reference Number 0000256765 ONTC is inviting Respondents to submit a quotation for the design, supply, and installation of a deck-over shelving system in our main stores warehouse in North Bay, Ontario. This specific warehouse stores industrial consumables, small tools, PPE, Flammable goods (aerosol paints, lubricants, detergents, oils, etc.), stationary supplies, maintenance parts, and various light to medium duty components. The current shelving system of this warehouse is made up of steel stand up racking bays, 15.5 inches deep by 36 inches or 48 inches wide. We have a middle aisle to walk and operate a hand pallet jack throughout 9 rows of double racking along each side. The maximum ceiling height of this warehouse is 16ft. ONTC is looking to consolidate racking space and maximize space available above the main level for the storage of light skids and boxes. We are looking for a completely new system or solution. We do not plan to use any of the current racking and shelving components. Concrete testing has not been completed. A layout of the current and proposed main floor plan is provided. Respondents can propose alternative solutions to this layout as long as a similar amount of racking banks are provided.
