BID TYPE Fixed Fee Contract The Project includes the following Work: Stabilization and reestablishment of the Manatawny Creek embankment with riprap armoring, installation of grout behind the existing bridge abutment, installation of vegetation barriers along the top of the embankment, removal of an asphalt walking path, installation of chain link fencing at the top of the embankment, removal of a gravel bar in the stream bed, and assorted repairs to the bridge including spot welds, deck replacement, structural repairs, sandblasting, and painting. Bidders should refer to provisions of federal and state statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and preservation of public natural resources that affect the project, pursuant to Act No. 247 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approved October 26, 1972. This Project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act ('the Act') which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. The estimated cost for this project is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date as provided by the Act of November 26, 1978 (P.L. 1309, No. 317), as amended by the Act of December 12, 1994 (P.L. 1042, No. 142). The Work will be substantially complete on or before June 28, 2024, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before July 12, 2024.
