Renovation of a medical facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
As of August 14, 2024, per owner, architect has been selected. They are currently in Construction Document phase of design and advertising for a Construction Manager. The schedule is phased, the earliest bid opening Fall of 2024 and Substantial completion being Fall of 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Improve UKHC - UK Chandler Hospital –Pav A Endoscopy Expansion, Pav HA & Pav A OB, Pav A ORs UK-2618-1-25 The University of Kentucky is requesting the services of a healthcare architecture firm for Architectural and Engineering Services (A/E) including design, construction administration and FF&E selection coordination for three (3) projects on the Chandler Campus. These three projects will be starting design concurrently and the selected firm should have available resources for each project. PROJECT DESCRIPTION UKHC will be opening the last inpatient floor in Pav A in the first quarter of 2024. The opening of the 12th floor will provide additional patient care capacity which triggers the ability to build out the last remaining shell spaces within Pav A. For each of the projects the awarded firm shall confirm the space and functional program, verify current conditions at the site, develop a design that optimizes the functional layout, complete bid/construction documents, provide the associated construction administration, and the coordination of structural and MEP infrastructure enhancements for all medical equipment.
