Reference Number 0000257102 1 Work under this Contract comprises the provisioning of all labour, material, tools and equipment required for snow removal and ice control of various areas at CFB Halifax as specified and indicated in Annex B Site Maps. Locations included in the Contract are: .1 CFS Sydney, Cape Breton, NS .2 Sydney Rifle Range, Peacekeepers Way, Sydney, Cape Breton, NS .3 Glace Bay Armouries, 78 Sterling Rd, Glace Bay, NS .4 Victoria Park, 20 Ortona Dr, Sydney, NS .2 The Contractor will not be responsible for snow removal and ice control on City owned sidewalks and driveways surrounding DND properties. 3 Permanent stockpiling will be permitted in designated areas specified and indicated in Annex B. Additional temporary (up to 48 hours) stockpiling may be approved in advance by the Defence Construction Canada (DCC) Representative. The estimated cost for this opportunity is in the order of $237,456.00 with the option to extend for 2 additional one-year periods for a total estimated value of $712,368.00. This contract will be in place from Contract award date to April 30, 2024. We understand that if mutually agreed between the Contractor and DCC, this Contract may be extended for one (1) additional period from November 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025 and then one (1) additional period from November 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026, under the same terms and conditions. This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the requirements set out in the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), Chapter Nineteen of the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-GPA). The selected contractor will be required to hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS), issued by the Contract Security Program (CSP) within Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). Details concerning the Security Requirements for this project are identified in Amendment No.1 to the tender documents.
