Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

This will be a new training facility will be located on the same property as Fire Station 5 (5301 Santa Fe Hills). The training facility will include a four-story training tower and a two-story office building that will house multiple offices, bathrooms, breakout rooms, and two 40+ classrooms. Additionally, the office building will house the NM Forestry Bernalillo division in part of the space. The training complex will also house all reserve apparatus for RRFR. The training tower will allow for multi-agency training and use. As of January, 7, 2026, this project is undergoing a feasibility study per the owner. Information regarding a timeline for a RFP or construction timeline has not been reached per the owner. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
