Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bedford, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The County of Bedford, VA invites qualified Contractors to submit sealed bids for the subject project. Work includes construction of a new road entrance, new parking areas, select site grading, landscaping, and storm water management as specified in the Contract Documents. Work Location:1239 Turning Point Road, Bedford, VA 24523 All inquires for information shall be submitted in writing to Erik Smedley, County Engineer, at esmedley@bedfordcountyva.gov. Bidders are requested to include the IFB title in the email subject line. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the bid due date may not be answered Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, Owner and Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty), Contractor shall pay Owner $300 for each day that expires after the time specified above. The work under this Contract must be performed within 60 days of the Notice to Proceed.
