CR Number:2102563 The Finger Lakes DDSO is soliciting bids for Kitchen Renovation at our Route 488 IRA located at 1505 Route 488, Phelps, NY 14532. Final Date for Receipt of Questions: November 3, 2023 Official Responses to Questions by: November 7, 2023 Remodeling of Kitchen. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 120 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS public works project and prevailing wages must be paid. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned and all materials secured at the end of each work day. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of Kitchen Remodel, before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent Contract term: 30 days after completion of project Any questions not asked at the site visit must be submitted in writing to FL.Purchasing@opwdd.ny.gov within 2 business of the site visit. MORSE 2) REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF ALL EXISTING KITCHEN CABINETS, COUNTERTOPS, SINK, BACKSPLASH, ETC. 3) SALVAGE EXISTING REFRIGERATOR, ELECTRIC RANGES, MICROWAVE AND DISHWASHER FOR REINSTALLATION. STORE AND MAINTAIN IN GOOD CONDITION. 4) REMOVE EXISTING BASEBOARD SUPPLY AND RETURN DIFFUSERS. REPLACE WITH NEW. 5) REMOVE EXISTING FLOORING AND UNDERLAYMENT DOWN TO SUBFLOOR. 6) REMOVE EXISTING RANGE HOODS. PROVIDE AND INSTALL NEW RANGE HOODS USING EXISTING DUCTS AND ELECTRIC. 7) REPAIR OR REPLACE THE WALLS AS REQUIRED TO A SMOOTH CONDITION TO ACCEPT PAINT AND NEW CABINETS. 8) REMOVE AND REPLACE ALL SWITCHES, RECEPTACLES AND COVER PLATES. PROVIDE AND INSTALL TAMPER-RESISTANT GFCI RECEPTACLES FOR ALL KITCHEN RECEPTACLES. FOR EACH KITCHEN CIRCUIT SUPPLYING THE RECEPTACLES, PROVIDE AND INSTALL A LISTED COMBINATION-TYPE ARC-FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER AT THE PANELBOARD TO PROVIDE PROTECTION OF THE ENTIRE BRANCH CIRCUIT. a. Color: As selected by the House Director. 9) PROVIDE AND INSTALL NEW CABINETS MANUFACTURED BY AMERICAN WOOD MARK OR APPROVED EQUAL (KCMA A161.1 CERTIFICATION). MATCH EXISTING CABINET LAYOUT. a. Color and Style: As selected by the House Director. 10) PROVIDE AND INSTALL NEW, CUSTOM QUARTZ SURFACING COUNTERTOPS WITH EDGE PROFILE AND 4" HIGH BACKSPLASH. MATCH EXISTING LAYOUT. a. Quartz Surfacing: Cambria Quartz Countertops, or approved equivalent. i. Color: As selected by the House Director. ii. Finish: Polished or Matte, as selected by the House Director. iii. Edge Profile: As selected by the House Director. 11) PROVIDE AND INSTALL A NEW SINK AND FAUCET 12) PROVIDE AND INSTALL NEW MOLDINGS AND ANY RELATED ITEMS FOR THE CABINET AND NEW WINDOW INSTALLATIONS. FINISH TO MATCH NEW CABINETS. 13) PREP AND PRIME ALL EXPOSED GYPSUM BOARD THROUGHOUT THE KITCHEN AREA. PAINT ALL WALLS AND CEILINGS. COMPLETE ALL WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS. a. Primer, One Coat: b. Paint, Two Coats: i. Color: As selected by the House Director. 14) PROVIDE AND INSTALL NEW FLOORING THROUGHOUT KITCHEN AND DINING ROOM WITH MANUFACTURER'S APPROVED UNDERLAYMENT. FLOORING WILL INCLUDE COVERAGE UNDER ALL APPLIANCES. 15) PROVIDE AND INSTALL NEW RUBBER BASE THROUGHOUT KITCHEN AND DINING ROOM. i. Color: As selected by House Director. 16) REINSTALL THE REFRIGERATORS, RANGES AND DISHWASHER INTO THE NEW CABINETS AND COUNTER. a. Dishwasher Installation Requirements: i. Provide and install an ASME A112.1.3 or A112.1.2 dishwasher air gap fitting, installed integrally with the machine, or provide a backflow preventer installed in compliance with NYS Residential Code Section 2902. ii. Install the dishwasher discharge pipe or tubing with a rise to the underside of the counter. Securely fasten or otherwise hold it in that position before connecting it to the head of the garbage disposal system or to a wye-fitting in the sink tailpiece. Trap serving the dishwasher shall be not less than 1 1/2 inches, outside diameter. 17) REMOVE ALL DEBRIS FROM THE SITE. 18) ANY CHANGES IN ELECTRIC WILL REQUIRE A THIRD-PARTY ELECTRICAL INSPECTION AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS PRIOR TO PAYMENT. 19) ALL WORK TO BE COMPLETED PER APPROVED HOUSE SAFETY PLAN.
