As of November 15, 2023 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. High Ridge Park. Specifications require the submittal of a 10% Bid Surety with the proposal. In addition, the successful contractors must be able to provide a satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, and required proof of insurance following the award of a contract. This project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development OSLAD grant program. All contracts for work herein are subject to all Park District rules and regulations, and providing for the payment of Cook County's prevailing wage rate to all workers involved in these projects. The Westchester Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities on a bid, and to accept the lowest responsible bid that serves the best interests of the Park District. Work generally includes excavation and removals, concrete paving, asphalt paving, plumbing, electrical, playground installation, playground safety surfacing, skate park and sport courts, sewer installation and landscaping.
