Twin Lakes Dam - Gate Repairs On the outside of the envelope, the bidder shall indicate the project number, description of the bid and include the bidders return mailing address. A maximum 1 page cover letter shall be submitted with each bid broadly describing the method of construction to be used on the project. Bid Security amount must equal 5 percent of the total amount of the Bid. A PDF of the Bid Security should be included in the bid documents. Bids utilizing cashier's checks or cash equivalent may not be submitted electronically. Bid Security will be returned to each unsuccessful Bidder after tabulation and award of the Construction Contract. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK Removal and replacement of the existing stem, encasement pipe, and lift assembly for the two slide gates on the dam's outlet structure. Each stem, encasement pipe, and lift assembly shall be replaced in kind, as specified by the gate manufacturer. Once the new stems are in place they will be encased in concrete for additional protection as detailed in the contract drawings. Disturbed areas will be restored and revegetated.
