This Notice is for the bid of a Job Order Contract (JOC). A JOC is a competitively bid, firm fixed priced, indefinite quantity contract. The scope of work includes a collection of detailed repair and construction tasks and specifications that have established unit prices. It is placed with the Contractor for the accomplishment of repair, alteration, modernization, maintenance, rehabilitation, demolition and construction of infrastructure, buildings, structures, or other real property. Work is awarded by issuance of a purchase order against the JOC. Under the JOC concept, the Contractor furnishes all management, documentation, labor, materials, and equipment needed to perform the work. Estimated Bid Value $1,000,000.00 < $3,000,000.00 The JOC awarded under this solicitation will have no minimum value and a maximum value of $1,000,000, with the ability to expand up to $3,000,000. The term of the contract will be for 12 months or the point at which the maximum value of the contract is reached, whichever occurs first. The University reserves the right to award up to three (3) Job Order Contracts from this bid (PW2318) to the three (3) lowest responsive bidders. Should the University choose to award more than one (1) Job Order Contract, it shall occur no later than sixty (60) calendar days after the date of the bid opening. Contractor License Requirement: "B" General Building Contractor. The Trustees require the successful bidder to achieve a minimum of three percent (3%) DVBE participation in contracting construction projects as established in the bidding documents. Bidders shall contact the Trustees' DVBE Advocate at California State University, Northridge: Jenni Cox at Jenni.Cox@csun.edu or 818-677-6568. All contractors and subcontractors who bid or work on a public works project must register and pay an annual fee to the State of California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Beginning July 1, 2014, contractors must register and meet requirements using the online application before bidding on public works contracts in California. The application also provides agencies that administer public works programs with a searchable database of qualified contractors. Read the SB 854 Fact Sheet for a complete list of requirements. Bid Security in the amount of $25,000 in the form specified in the bid documents is required (CSU General Conditions 2.05C.). The successful bidder will be required to provide full Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of $1,000,000, with the ability to expand up to $3,000,000 (CSU General Conditions 3.03.).
