This project will replace approximately 1,100 feet of mainline pipe in Garfield Avenue that has reached the end of its useful life. The work to be completed is in two locations, and will include the replacement of stormwater piping, manholes and catch basins within the City right-of-way: 530 feet of 10-inch concrete piping between 29th Street and 27th Street; 600 feet of 10-inch and 12-inch concrete piping between Highland Drive and 12th Street As of September 2025, the project is in the planning stages and will be designed by city staff. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in the summer of 2027. This project is included in the city's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
