Question Deadline 10/19/2023 at 3:30 PM CT Contractor Questions Due The Village of Cary, McHenry County, Illinois (hereafter Village) is issuing this Request for Bids for the replacement and installation of HVAC units: o Well 4 (106 Ann St) o Wastewater Treatment Plant (305 Spring St) Under this contract, the selected contractor will provide the appropriate HVAC equipment, furnish all labor, and install the units. This Village owns and maintains a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) at 305 Spring St and a Wellhouse (Well 4) at 106 Ann St. The WWTP is a site comprised of several buildings and structures - this RFB pertains to the "main building" of the WWTP which is immediately adjacent to the access point off of Spring St. Both of these buildings require the replacement and installation of new HVAC units. Removed HVAC units shall become the property of the contractor. Changing HVAC units includes the removal and replacement of same or similar units approved by the Village. HVAC unit should be the same size or an approved equivalent to properly heat each building. The Village holds the rights to approve or deny specific unit brands. The work shall include all necessary electrical, gas, wiring, and utility work to ensure unit runs properly. Each unit should come with a 1 year full warranty for parts and labor and a 5 year warranty on the unit. Location 1 - Well 4 Well 4 is located at 106 Ann St and requires a gas furnace replacement. The installed furnace shall be in the range of 110,000 - 120,000 BTU heating capacity. The contractor shall make all appropriate disconnections, furnish, and install the new gas furnace Location 2 - WWTP The "main building" of the WWTP requires the replacement of two (2) Rooftop Units (RTUs). The contractor shall make all appropriate disconnections and furnish and install two (2) new units and all associated equipment. One 7.5-ton unit and 2.5-ton unit are required Scope of Services It is anticipated that the Contractor shall perform the following duties in a clean and responsible manner: o The Contractor shall, at all times, keep the work site clean and safe. The site must be secured at the end of each workday for the duration of the contract. o The Contractor shall not store debris on site. All debris and construction waste must be hauled off site at the end of each workday. o Disconnect gas, electric, control, and other utility lines. Any and all coordination with utilities falls on the responsibility of the contractor. o Remove existing HVAC units and dispose of them properly. o Furnish new HVAC units (1 Furnace and 2 RTUs). o Reconnect appropriate utilities and control lines. o Restore sites to prexisting or better condition. o Installation of drain lines as appropriate. o Follow all appropriate safety protocols
