The City Clerk for the City of Greenwood will accept sealed bids for City-wide residential solid waste collection For further information, contact the Greenwood City Clerk - LeeAnn Moore by phone at 816-537-6969 ext 101, or by email at lmoore@greenwoodmo.com. The contractor shall begin work on the date set in the Notice to Proceed and shall prosecute the work vigorously and continuously. The anticipated start date will be January 1, 2024. The term of the contract shall be for a period of three (3) years, with negotiations on costs and changes to be considered each year on the anniversary date of the contract. The City reserves the right to approve up to three (3), one (1) year renewal periods at a change in cost per dwelling unit, provided this cost change can be substantiated to the satisfaction of the Board of Aldermen. All renewal periods will be subject to satisfactory performance by the contractor of his previous contract. The contractor shall furnish a performance bond to the City in the specified, executed by a surety; guaranteeing the faithful performance of the contract; guaranteeing the payment of all lawful claims when they become due for all labor, mechanics, equipment, tools, and materials used in the work; for the period of time as prescribed by the Performance Bond. The amount of the Performance bond shall be in the sum of $30,000. In lieu of the Performance Bond required herein the contractor may provide a suitable guarantee of performance to be prepared to the satisfaction and approval of the City Attorney and the City Representative.
