As of June 5, 2024, this project is in the conceptual phase. A prospective engineer has been selected but not awarded. Contract negotiations are in progress. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Cincinnati, through its Department of Sewers (the City), as the sole management agency for the operation and maintenance of the sewer system on behalf of the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSDGC) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (hereinafter RFQ), pursuant to the provisions of applicable Ohio law and MSDGC policy, from parties (hereinafter Offeror). Offeror shall provide the City with assistance for the purpose of completing the activities associated with the Scope of Services, below. Consultant shall evaluate existing aerial sewer interceptors, outlet weir structures, and manholes along the north side of Winton Lake, east of Winton Road. An alternatives analysis shall be completed to recommend potential modifications of the existing aerial sewers and control structures, and/or construction of new control structures to eliminate the need to "back-up" flows in the system to counter buoyancy forces created during high lake pool elevations. Recommendations shall account for hydraulic grade line impacts of proposed modifications in the upstream and downstream portions of the system. Recommended modifications are anticipated to lower the hydraulic grade line across Winton Lake area for the twin-parallel trunk sewers that run through the park to reduce overflow out of manholes that flow into Winton Lake in the residential and recreational areas A general outline of the work required is provided in this RFQ. It is not intended to be all-inclusive, as a detailed scope of work will be developed during negotiations with the selected Offeror. It is anticipated that professional engineering and related consulting services shall be provided to support the referenced project during the planning, design, and construction phases. The anticipated term of the contract resulting from this RFQ is five (5) years with one (1) one-year extension Competition shall be generated to the maximum extent practicable, including opportunities for small business enterprises through the MSDGC Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program. This project shall have an 11% SBE inclusion goal.
