Marshfield Water Treatment Plant Filter and Underdrain Nozzle Replacement Furnishing of all labor and material for the renovation of the existing water treatment facility. Major components of the Work include: Rehabilitation of the four (4) existing WTP concrete gravity filters including but not limited to: A. Demolition, generally described as: 1. Complete removal of the existing filter media. Existing media consists of approximately 20 to 30 inches of Manganese Anthra/Sand. Each filter is approximately 14-feet by 18-feet. 2. Removal of existing underdrain nozzles. B. Reconstruction of the concrete gravity filter underdrain, generally described as follows: 1. Installation of new underdrain filter nozzles 2. Installation of new filter media. Filter media to consist of 30-inches of Manganese Anthra/Sand. C. Remove and replace two (2) 20-inch butterfly valves in the backwash tank. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders Proof of Responsibility must be submitted to SEH in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the Owner.
