Site work and paving for a road / highway in Acushnet, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
All work shall be performed in accordance with the relevant sections of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, latest edition. Areas to be constructed and limits of work at specific locations will be field marked by the Engineer prior to scheduling construction. Sufficient work locations will be furnished to the Contractor for his scheduling of work crews. The Contractor shall be responsible for the notification to DIG SAFE at locations where excavation depth may exceed 12 inches, or his work may otherwise impact on utilities. The Contractor shall schedule construction operations so as to maintain pedestrian access to abutting property. The Contractor shall erect and maintain warning structures and devices around locations that in the opinion of the Engineer or Safety Officer for the Town may pose hazard to persons or property. Devices may consist of warning tape, signs and lights at night around locations in question. Hot Mix Paving. The Town of Acushnet, acting through its Select Board, invites sealed bids for paving. The project shall include Burano Drive (3,080SY), Cory Drive (3,200SY), North Anthony Drive (980SY), Henrietta Drive (135SY), Middle Road (3,700SY), Wilbur Ave (275SY) and Myrtle Ave (275SY). Bid price includes construction & materials as defined in bid specifications. Contractors must have documented experience.
