Site work and paving for a road / highway in Eugene, Oregon. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This project is located in Wards 3 and 7 and will complete strengthening retrofits on the Coburg Road Ferry Street viaduct over the railroad tracks, and 4th, 6th, and 7th Avenues. In 2020, ODOT informed the City that load rating calculations have indicated that this structure is deficient for Special Hauling Vehicles (SHV) and several spans need to be strengthened. This restriction has likely impacted commercial traffic over this structure. This project will retrofit the structure and allow the load limit sign postings to be removed. No change to operations and maintenance is expected for this project. This project is included in the City of Eugene's FY 2023-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of May 12, 2025, per owner, they just opened the solicitation for design services for the project, construction will be a ways out. Design team identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
