Update: This project will construct new wastewater pipe and manholes to extend the wastewater system and waterlines to provide EWEB water service. The result will be new wastewater and water service along West 11th Avenue and Crow Road between Green Hill Road and Terry Street and along La Porte Drive. This project is specifically identified in the Major System Expansion section of the 2020 Wastewater Master Plan and is based on the Housing Implementation Pipeline goal to include a wastewater extension project that supports new housing. This project was selected based on the number of potential new housing units for the estimated cost. This project supports the Housing Implementation Pipeline by meeting the goal to incorporate a priority wastewater extension project into the Capital Improvement Program. The City received a $6 million grant through Oregon Business Development Department as part of Senate Bill 1530 that will support wastewater and water service design and construction. Additional operations and maintenance costs are expected for this project, but it is too early in the project lifecycle to determine a reliable estimate.
