Renovation of an educational facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The University is seeking General Contracting services for a chilled water riser installation at 717 Delaware Street SE (originally the Minnesota State Department of Health Building). The 717 Delaware chiller equipment has exceeded its design life and requires increasingly frequent and costly maintenance. As a result, the University is pursuing a district chilled water connection to the Health Sciences plant in order to support future retirement of the current assets in order to serve the building's cooling needs. The Project will bring new chilled water supply and return mains from the district cooling loop up to the sixth floor mechanical room. The University's project team consists of the Capital Project Management, Energy Management, FM District. Close coordination with FM Health Sciences District staff for building operations and 717 Delaware staff for access to building spaces during design/construction will be required. The University requires the Project to be substantially complete by no later than May 22, 2026. Penthouse Chilled Water Tie-ins complete and ready to fill by Friday, March 13th 2026. The total construction budget for this Project is $1,580,159 (current dollars, no escalation). QA date - 10-1-2025 12:00 PM
