A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Great Island, Town of Darien - Transformer Removal and Disposal Total of Four (4) Transformers Questions, if any, shall be directed to: Edward L. Contract Security and Insurance: 1. No Performance Bond shall will be required. 2. No Payment Bond shall be required. 3. Insurance Certificates covering limits as set forth in these bidding documents shall be required. 4. Low bidder must be appropriately insured for any and all work associated with the removal and proper disposal of the four (4) existing inactive transformers. Contractor shall begin the project as soon as possible and in accordance with the Notice to Proceed. The contractor will have 15 calendar days to complete the work. The Town of Darien is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer; Minority/Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid. The Town of Darien reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No Bid Bond is required. The Site is defined as Great Island in Darien. Access is obtained from the intersection of Long Neck Point Road and Goodwives River Road.
