The Town of Darien reserves the right to reject any and all bids Below are the specific requirements for the Street Sweeper: Motor: o Motor Specs - must be diesel Cummings with minimum 100 hp Dealer must be able to support motor repairs with computer access for diagnostics . Transmission: o Must be hydrostatic drivetrain o Travel Ground Speed must meet at minimum 25 mph in transport mode . Breaking system: o Hydraulic braking system Debris Tank: Tank must be constructed of Stainless steel o Tank must have an internal wash down system o Tank must be able to dump off rear of machine Operator Station: o Unit must have fully enclosed cab Cab must have cabin air filter system Cab must be equipped with heat and Air conditioning o Cab must have right hand drive system Sweeping Mode: o Unit must have front gutter broom to allow sweeping in 90 degree corners o Unit must be equipped with a third broom setup with heavy duty brush system for top of curb and sidewalk sweeping, Unit must be hydraulic 6 way o Unit must have dust control system using water Other: o Water recycling unit for dust control Overhead Vacuum tube for catch basin debris removal Consumables Dealer must provide a list of all consumables that would be needed up to the first 1000 hours of normal use Questions, if any, shall be directed to: Brian Francefort Darien Public Works 2 Renshaw Rd, Town Hall Darien, CT 06820 (203) 656-7183 Phone bfrancefort@darienct.gov
