HVAC Upgrade at Tenakill Middle School Gymnasium. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids are to be marked in a sealed envelope and delivered to Closter Board of Education at 340 Homans Avenue, Closter, N.J. 07624, with the name of the project, "HVAC Upgrade at Tenakill Middle School Gymnasium plainly marked on the front of the envelope. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. All bids must be accompanied by a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The Bidder must include with its bid its own Business Registration Certificate and that of all subcontractors. No bidder who is on the State Treasurer's or the Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. MILESTONE DATES: 1) Commence Long Lead Item Shop Drawings and Submittals: 14 Days after NTP 2) Start Construction Work: June 24, 2024. (Work occurring during the school open days shall be performed after hours at no additional cost to the district) 3) Substantial Completion: August 1, 2025. (HVAC Unit must be installed and operational) 4) Final Completion, CO and Closeout Documents: 14 days after completions IF CONTRACTOR DOES NOT HAVE ALL WORK COMPLETE 9/1/25, THEN ALL REMAINING WORK SHALL COMMENCE FROM 3PM TO 10PM. THE COST FOR THIS AFTER HOURS WORK SHALL NOT BE CHARGED TO DISTRICT The Closter Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any minor informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Closter Board of Education.
