Site work and new construction of a medical facility in Taunton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a 47,000-square-foot, three-story above grade medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
The Taunton State Hospital (TSH) campus is a state facility operated and maintained by the Department of Mental Health where the Department of Youth Services (DYS) Southeast Region is an assigned lessee. The proposed new structure for DYS will be built on the grounds of TSH. The approximate square footage of the secure facility is expected to be a 47,000sf, three-story structure for youth residential programs. The building will include a secure intake and welcome area; housing for approximately 45 youth; client services including Health Services, Clinical and Counseling Services; an educational area including classrooms; a commercial kitchen with adjacent dining facilities; an indoor gym and outdoor recreation areas; maintenance area; and associated staff support areas. This secure facility will include a secure intake and welcome area; housing for approximately 45 youth, client services; an educational area including classrooms; a commercial kitchen with adjacent dining facilities; an indoor gym and outdoor recreation areas; maintenance area; and associated staff support areas. This Request for Qualifications is the first phase of a two-phase procurement process as set forth in MGL Ch.149A. DCAMM is prequalifying firms interested in providing CM-at-Risk services for this project through this RFQ process.
