Jones Street, Pleasantville, Iowa The work includes all materials, equipment, transportation, and labor necessary to complete the improvements on Shadle Park Pond as outlined in the plans. The proposed project includes 8,100 CY of excavated material, providing 700 CY of off-site clay, stripping and spreading topsoil, dewatering, 500 SY of HMA trail, 585 tons of riprap, various storm sewer infrastructure, providing and installing a fountain and associated electric service, and seeding. Est. Value:$ 380,000.00 Work on the project shall be completed no later than May 30, 2024. Should the contractor fail to complete the work in this timeframe, liquidated damages in the amount of five-hundred dollars ($500.00) per calendar day will be assessed for work not completed within the designated contract term. Project completion includes completion of all grading, storm sewer installation, riprap placement, paving, surface restoration (including seeding), and miscellaneous associated work. The City of Pleasantville, Iowa does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the jurisdiction. The City of Pleasantville will issue a sales tax exemption certificate to the Contractor for all material purchased for incorporation in the project. Tax exemption certificates are applicable only for the specific project for which the tax exemption certificate is issued.
