AACMD is soliciting for a contractor to provide environmental remediation, building demolition, and water well capping services for an abandoned farm house and its associated structures located within The Aurora Highlands development. The selected contractor will be required to comply will all City, County, State, and Federal requirements, and must obtain current and active required certifications and licenses to perform the work. Identified environmental impacts which require remediation include petroleum, asbestos, lead, and unknown chemicals. The remaining structures will be demolished to grade. One water well has been identified on the property and will need to be permanently capped. The Aurora Highlands is a new master planned community located on the high plains prairie, approximately three miles south of Denver International Airport (DIA). The site is located within Adams county east of Picadilly Road, south of 56th Avenue, north of 26th Avenue, and west of Powhaton Road (future alignment) with a portion also east of Powhaton south of 48th Avenue (future alignment).
