The work or improvement to be performed generally consists of removal and replacement of deficient concrete curbs and gutters, sidewalk panels, driveway aprons, wheelchair access ramps, parkway tree removal; stump grinding; removal of all roots; and replacement of trees required for the construction of concrete improvements and other items identified in the bid schedule. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security referred to in the Contract Documents and by a list of proposed subcontractors. Evidence of current City Business License (applies to contractor and all subcontractors), insurance, a Performance Bond, a Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Warranty Bond, as specified in the Contract Documents, will be required prior to execution of the contract. In accordance with Public Contract Code Section 22300, the bidder who is awarded the contract may substitute securities for retention money withheld by a public agency to ensure performance under the contract. The procedure and requirements for substituting said securities are set forth in Public Contract Code Section 22300, which is incorporated by this reference as set forth herein.
