Project Description: The intent of this Invitation for Bid is to provide Stafford County Public Schools with multiple on-call term contracts for fencing services in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions and Special Terms and Conditions and Specifications/Scope of Work stated herein. BACKGROUND Stafford County is rapidly becoming an urban community and currently ranks as one of the fastest growing counties in Virginia and the nation. Stafford County encompasses one hundred seventy three thousand (173,000) acres, of which thirty thousand five hundred (30,500) are utilized by the federal government for the Quantico Marine Corps Reservation. At present, Stafford County Public Schools has seventeen (17) elementary schools (grades K-5), eight (8) middle schools (grades 6-8), five (5) high schools (grades 9-12), two (2) Head Start locations, one (1) alternative education facility and four (4) support complexes. Stafford Schools' Operation and Maintenance Department currently oversees the district's fencing needs. The department currently has a backlog of fencing projects which include, but not limited, the installation of new fences, repair and/or maintenance of current fencing structures. Stafford Schools estimates the district's backlog of fencing repair and/or maintenance services to be approximately$50,000. SPECIFICATIONS/SCOPE OF WORK The successful bidder shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, materials, supplies, parts, equipment, transportation, record documentation, and other associated work and responsibilities necessary to replace, furnish and install, and/or repair fencing services on an "as-needed" basis, in accordance with the provisions and specifications contained herein. All questions regarding the IFB must be received in writing on or before Monday, November 6, 2023 no later than 11:00 A.M. Pre-Bid Conference: No pre-bid conference is scheduled. Contract Term: The initial term of this contract shall be for a period of one year from the date of award with the option to renew for up to two (2) additional, successive one-year periods upon mutual written consent of the parties to the contract. TERMS & CONDITIONS: Stafford County Public Schools (Stafford Schools) requests bids for the work described in the Specifications/Scope of Work section provided below. This solicitation is subject to the provisions of Stafford Schools' Instructions to Bidders, General Terms and Conditions for Construction Contracts and any other Special Terms and Conditions provided with the Bid Documents.
