Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Rabun Gap, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Project consists of, but is not limited to the following major elements:Enhancements to existing 2.0 MGD Water Treatment Facility. Major components include restoration of 2 each 1.0 MGD package filter units and associated controls with new filter media and associated internal components of each filter unit. Each filter unit will be converted from a Roberts system to a Trident system, manufactured by Westech Engineering, Inc.. All controls shall be upgraded as well. And existing blowers shall be replaced as well with new air piping. Work also includes repairing any interior coating failures in each filter. Note: the filter equipment package by Westech Engineering, Inc for the 2 each 1.0 MGD package filter units shall be furnished by the Authority and is already in storage at a facility near the Water Treatment Plant site. Time of completion for all work associated with this project shall be ninety (90) consecutive calendar days to achieve substantial completion and one hundred and fifty (150) consecutive calendar days to achieve final completion from the date of a written Notice to Proceed from OWNER. It is the intention of the Authority that the contractor begin work and have initial, necessary work completed to be prepared to take the first filter off-line for upgrades in early January 2025.
