Site work and renovation of a civil project in Waxahachie, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
1. The work, as defined in the contract documents, includes but is not limited to: a. Furnish and install four (4) chemical storage tanks. This includes the removal of the existing chemical storage tanks. This also includes all electrical and instrumentation work associated with the equipment installation. b. Furnish and install two (2) air scour blowers. This includes the removal of the existing blower. This also includes all electrical and instrumentation work associated with the equipment installation. c. Blower building repairs as shown in the drawings. d. Furnish and install four (4) raw water flow meters. This includes the required piping demolition and modifications as shown on the drawings. This also includes all electrical and instrumentation work associated with the equipment installation. e. Furnish and install replacement underdrain system and filter media in Filter No. 6. This includes the removal of the existing filter media and filter underdrain system. f. Furnish two (2) chemical feed pumps. 2. The Project is to be complete in 480 days from the Contractor's Notice to Proceed. Questions Deadline: 2:00 PM CST on October 12, 2023 Proposals shall be accompanied by either a Bid Bond from a surety satisfying the requirements specified below for the Performance Bond, Payment Bond and any other bonds set forth in the Contract Documents, or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount not less than 5 percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the City of Waxahachie as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within ten (10) days after Notice of Award, enter into a Contract and furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond and any other bonds set forth in the Contract Documents upon the forms provided, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the Contract price, from a surety licensed to conduct business in the state where the Project is located and named in the current list of "Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds" as published in Circular 570 (amended) by the Audit Staff Bureau of Accounts, U.S. Treasury Department. The City of Waxahachie reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or parts of Bids, to waive any formalities and technicalities and to accept the Bid most advantageous to the OWNER. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of ninety (90) days from the date bids are opened. Estimate: $2,800,000 - $3,100,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
