Site work for a municipal facility in Barrie, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
The Work under this contract consists of the installation of a coffer dam and temporary dewatering, stabilization of the creek bank, removal of the coffer dam and flow management equipment, and restoration of the disturbed areas. Access will be gained off Ferndale Drive North and Edgehill Drive. The general items included in the project are as follows: a) Delineate limits of construction with temporary silt / tree protection fencing; b) Undertake required clearing and grubbing including removal and disposal off-site of all aggraded sediments, earth materials, vegetation, and debris; c) Installation of dewatering system including coffer dams, by-pass pump and sediment bag to provide dry working area; d) Installation of vegetated buttress as shown in the contract drawings; e) Restoration with topsoil, coir matting, and Terraseed mixture; f) Reinstate the site with extensive native plantings integrated into the channel banks; g) Removal of all, dewatering system, temporary fences, reinstate access road to pre-disturbed conditions.
