Asset Managment Plan (AMP) update will include the following City-owned asset classes: a) Transportation b) Stormwater c) Water d) Wastewater e) Facilities f) Parks, Outdoor Recreation, Maintained Parkland, and Natural Areas g) Transit h) *Fleet i) *Barrie-Collingwood Railway (BCRY TIMELINE: A Request For Proposals has been issued by the City of Barrie ("the City") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Asset Management Plan Update - Proposed Levels of Service. The City of Barrie (the City) intends to retain the services of an experienced and qualified consulting firm to complete an Asset Management Plan (AMP) update to address the Section 6 requirements of Ontario Regulation 588/17: Asset Management Planning for Municipal Infrastructure. The consulting team will include suitable expertise in asset management of municipal infrastructure assets. The successful proponent (the Consultant) is required to prepare an updated AMP for the City assets in accordance with Ontario Regulation 588/17: Asset Management Planning for Municipal Infrastructure made under the Infrastructure For Jobs and Prosperity Act, 2015 (current edition). The AMP deliverable shall be detailed enough to satisfy all requirements in Section 6 of O. Reg. 588/17, as well as meet all requirements described in this RFP. The project must be completed by February 1, 2025, in order to ensure that there is time to obtain approval by City Council in advance of the deadline of July 1, 2025, as required by the regulation. This project will build on the City of Barrie existing asset management plans to develop a comprehensive plan that will help support an improved, City-wide, asset management program that balances affordability, sustainability, risk, and stakeholder expectations.
