The principal items of work to be performed under this project include: furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the Removal and Disposal of Recycling Within Aldan Borough in accordance with the options described. The bid award, if Borough Council elects in its discretion to do so, shall be made at the December Caucus of Borough Council to be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. prevailing time, at the John P. McBlain Community Center, 210 Shisler Avenue, Aldan, Pennsylvania 19018. Delivery of all proposals to the Borough Office shall be the sole responsibility of the bidder. Questions regarding the specifications shall be directed to Mr. John White, Borough Manager, at the number noted above. Questions regarding the specifications shall not be considered after Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the aggregate cost of the bid proposal, made payable to Borough of Aldan. All bids must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety in a form acceptable to the Borough Solicitor. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Borough Council reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids on any basis and to waive any informality in the bidding as permitted by law. No bidder may withdraw a bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the bid opening thereof, except in accordance with the terms of PA Act 4 of 1974.
