The principal items of work to be performed under this project include: furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the COMBINED REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF RUBBISH AND GARBAGE WITHIN ALDAN BOROUGH, in accordance with the Options specified. All proposals must be sealed and addressed to the Borough Manager at the above address and marked "COMBINED REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF RUBBISH AND GARBAGE WITHIN ALDAN BOROUGH" on the outside of the envelope. Delivery of all proposals to the Borough Office shall be the sole responsibility of the Bidder. Questions regarding the specifications shall be directed to Mr. John White, Borough Manager, at the number noted above. Questions regarding the specifications shall not be considered after Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond, in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the aggregate cost of the bid proposal, made payable to Borough of Aldan. All bids must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety in a form acceptable to the Borough Solicitor. The successful Bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond (i.e., Payment Bond), each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Borough Council reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids on any basis and to waive any informality in the bidding as permitted by law. Bidders may withdraw their bid anytime up to the due date and time. Once the bid closing time is complete, no Bidder may withdraw a bid. Requests for withdrawal of bids due to clerical error will be made in accordance with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Act 4 of 1974 (S.B. 793).
