**As of November 22, 2023, project was awarded to ONS REFRIGERATION LLC, awarded amount is $67,587.28.** (30) NEW Window AC units 24,000 BTU. LG Model or approved equal in the following: (6) Building A: Rooms A3, A4, and A5. (12) Building B: Rooms: B21 - B26 (second floor) (12) Building C: Rooms: C21 - C26 (second floor) Air Conditioning Units: 1. Before ordering equipment, provide specifications of A/C units to Project Coordinator for approval. 2. All units must have a 1-Year Equipment Warranty from Manufacturer or Supplier. 3. All units must be Energy Star-rated with a minimum CEER of 10.3. 4. All A/C units shall be installed with condensation drain lines, unless noted otherwise. If the water will not affect the walkways, then it is not necessary. The drain lines do not need to be painted. The position of the drain lines will be up to the school and decided at the pre-bid meeting. See AC Install Inventory Sheet for details. 5. Any equipment and/or installation changes identified during the pre-bid meeting/walkthrough shall be verified and approved by the Project Coordinator. Changes will be posted as an Addendum to the Scope. 6. All AC units will be framed with painted 2 x 4. This is a DOE Facilities requirement. If not framed, changes identified shall be verified and approved by the Project Coordinator. Frame out is recommended using 1/2 " plywood and painted to match existing color. 7. All wood around the AC units will be painted (interior and exterior). Paint color shall be CIELO BLANCO. Electrical: 1. Contractor shall provide all necessary components for a complete installation of all A/C units; including but not limited to conduits, wiring, outlets, etc. Conduits shall be EMT grade. 2. Sub-panels shall be added if needed. If possible, new panel should contain all AC breakers. Panel location will be up to the school and decided at the pre-bid meeting 3. Electrical may be pulled from the 1st floor for the 2nd floor installation and vice versa and will be up to the school and decided at the pre-bid meeting. Patching 1. All penetrations through walls/windows shall be completely sealed. 2. All added and/or replaced lumber and/or plywood shall be patched and painted. Wood trim shall be used for gaps larger than 1/4 inch. 3. Any damages caused by the Contractors work shall be properly patched and painted to match surrounding areas. Windows/Louvers 1. Windows and louvers must be operational post-installation. If the windows cannot be opened after the AC is installed, then it does not have to be operational.
